Poettker Construction, along with its small business partner, was selected by the Illinois Air National Guard for the repair of the P-1 Hangar Building Envelope at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport.

The P-1 Hangar houses the Centralized Repair Facility (CRF) operations unit, which utilizes specialized aircraft manufacturing equipment to test and rebuild jet engines. Major interior and exterior renovations were needed to create a more energy-efficient and functional solution for CRF operations.

This project also included upgrading the existing building systems and replacing all windows throughout the facility with blast-proof windows to meet Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements.

Poettker simultaneously worked on the following Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport projects:

  • Sidewalk Extension & Removal of the Circle Drive
  • Construction of New Vehicle Wash Rack
