Construction Management & General Contracting

Poettker Construction partnered with Mascoutah CUSD #19 to deliver a comprehensive, multi-site program of additions, renovations, and interior fit-outs designed to enhance learning environments, dining capacities, and athletic support spaces. The work was carefully phased to prioritize student safety and minimize disruptions to daily school operations.

  • Mascoutah Middle School: Improvements included a new cafeteria, kitchen, and multipurpose auditorium seating over 400 students, supported by a full-service kitchen with secure storage, walk-in cooler and freezer, and staff areas. Addition of a library, media lab, science and art classrooms, esports rooms, general and special education spaces, and an outdoor classroom. Renovations converted the former library into student services offices, upgraded science classrooms, added new flooring, and delivered an athletic support building with storage, restrooms, utilities, and concessions.

  • Mascoutah Elementary School: Interior renovations  refreshed learning spaces with new flooring, painting, door replacements, and existing locker rooms were relocated into newly repurposed classrooms and office spaces.

  • Jefferson Building: The former retail space was retrofitted into a functional educational facility. The renovation involves restroom upgrades, storefront replacement, and new electrical, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems to support safe daily occupancy.

At Mascoutah, we pride ourselves on providing our students and community with some of the finest educational and extracurricular resources and facilities. Therefore, when improving, updating, or increasing capacity of our facilities, our decision on what companies we work with are extremely important. During the past three years, we have completed multiple addition and renovation projects together, and at every step, Poettker demonstrated that they are not just a construction company but are true partners and friends of the district who understand the importance of trust, communication, and responsiveness. Thank you to the team at Poettker for all you’ve done and all you’ll continue to do for Mascoutah CUSD19.”
