Marion High School

Poettker constructed over 200,000 SF for Marion CUSD #2‘s high school expansion and addition project. The new 74,040 SF Heath Education Center and the 143,130 SF classroom building addition feature:
- a new gymnasium, weight room, locker rooms, coach’s offices, training and nurse areas, regular and caged storage, cardio and weight-lifting areas as well as a multi-purpose room;
- pre-engineered metal building structure comprised of more than 200 tons of steel;
- two-story addition comprised of 49 classrooms, a variety of laboratories, audio/visual area, lecture halls, offices, conference rooms, gym entry and lobby with concessions
The concrete portion of this project entailed the placement of over 3,000 yards of concrete, in which Poettker self-performed major portions of the concrete foundation work.
