Project Management
Effective project management depends on open communication with all stakeholders. Therefore, Poettker Construction employs Procore, a cloud-based construction management platform, to track and organize project documentation, including meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, drawings, specifications, project photos, drone footage, punch lists, cost management, quality and safety reports, daily site reports, schedules, trade contracts, and closeout documents.

Safety
Above all else, Poettker Construction prioritizes safety — striving for zero accidents on all of our projects. Guided by the project-specific safety plan developed during Preconstruction, we engage your team, subcontractors, our on-site team, our office team, and site visitors to foster a safety-minded culture. We conduct daily safety walk-throughs, hold weekly on-site safety meetings, communicate hazard analysis briefings, and perform monthly inspections to achieve safety excellence. As a result, Poettker earned and maintained a 0.8 average EMR rating over the past 3 years, far outpacing the industry average of 1.0.
Quality Control
Every Poettker Construction employee values executing tasks right the first time. Our Risk Management Team and on-site personnel collaborate with designers, manufacturers, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors to identify best practices for critical path objectives. By reporting directly to Poettker’s Executive Team, our quality control team remains objective and autonomous in its ongoing site inspections and general operations.

Schedule Administration
Effective upfront planning sets us up for success during Construction. Utilizing the Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 scheduling tool, your project superintendent will secure commitments from all trade contractors to create schedule forecasting plans for the upcoming 4 weeks. The superintendent will meet regularly with the on-site foreman to update the schedule daily and communicate to project stakeholders at weekly Construction Progress Meetings.
Financial Management
We understand that your project is a major capital investment, so we work hard to protect your finances. As your subcontractor liaison, we manage trade contractor progress payments and ensure they align with actual work completed and materials delivered. We discuss project costs at weekly meetings and provide a monthly project cash flow forecasting plan with estimated final project costs. Together, we jointly review all payment requests prior to fund disbursement.
