Times Square Mall Renovation

Mt. Vernon Association selected Poettker Construction as the general contractor for renovations to the existing Times Square Mall in Mt. Vernon, IL. This project entailed significant interior demolition of existing retail spaces to allow for the reconfiguration and addition of several new stores including:
- 52,700 SF Hobby Lobby with new façade and rear loading dock
- 30,020 SF Ross Dress for Less with new façade, rear loading dock, and area for future expansion
- 33,010 SF Big Lots! with new façade, rear loading dock, updates interior finishes, restroom upgrades, employee lounge, and stockroom
Major exterior and site improvements consisted of the new building façades, signage, parking areas, landscaping, and demolition/replacement of a 9,550 SF outlot building constructed with space for 4 tenants.
This project required close communication between the owner’s representative, architect, and various subcontractors to keep the surrounding stores operational throughout construction with limited disturbance to customers
