Effingham Public Library selected Poettker Construction as the general contractor for the conversion of a former bank building into the new library. The new facility features:

- Children’s library with craft and story room
- Innovation lab with exhibition space for local businesses
- Fiction and genealogy sections
- Large 150-seat meeting space
- Expanded tutoring rooms
