Columbia High School Addition and Renovation
Location: Columbia, IL | Owner: Columbia CUSD #4 | Architect: FGM Architects, Inc.
Columbia CUSD #4 selected Poettker as the construction manager for 110,900 SF of new construction and 12,000 SF of renovation work to help the district meet current and forecasted growth for the next 10 years. These additions and renovations will require complex scheduling and phasing over 3 years due to the size and location of additions.
This project will include:
- Phase I – Site Improvements and Administrative & Auditorium Additions: A new 69,900 SF 2-story addition that will consist of administrative offices, classrooms, restrooms, band room and state-of-the-art auditorium that will help expand the fine/performing arts program
- Phase II – Gymnasium/Storm Shelter: Addition of a 41,000 SF competition gymnasium, concession area, restrooms, and storm shelter rated locker rooms that will provide improved facilities for the athletics program
- Phase III – Existing High School Renovations: 12,000 SF of renovations to existing classrooms and office space
