Established in 1980 by veteran Charles (Chuck) Poettker in Breese, Illinois, Poettker Construction celebrates 40 years of work and dedication for the United States Armed Forces and its veterans. Since its inception, Poettker Construction has established partnerships and conducted repeat business with multiple branches of the Department of Defense, including the Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Naval Facility Engineering Command, which has positioned the company as one of the largest defense contractors in the greater St. Louis area.

Several company milestones and a diverse portfolio of projects from both repeat and new clients have propelled Poettker Construction Company to achieve record-breaking revenue in 2019. Back in 2010 when it was growing at the seams, the company had a vision for a new headquarters facility in its hometown of Breese, Ill.
