UIUC Ikenberry Commons, Bousfield Hall

Poettker Construction Company served as the General Contractor for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Bousfield Residence Hall project in Champaign, Illinois.
The 180,000 SF, six-story dormitory with a basement, was constructed on a confined site located between Scott Hall and Hopkins Hall, two existing and operational dormitories. This new Residence Hall provides housing for a over 480 students and features:
- rooms configured into four-bedroom suites and two-bedroom semi-suites, each with private bathrooms
- large multi-purpose room
- recreational room
- staff apartments
- floor lounges
- public meeting spaces
- offices for student services
- other building support spaces
Poettker self-performed the structural concrete and foundation work which entailed the placement of 6,020 CY of concrete.
