SIUE Health Sciences Building

Poettker, in partnership with Clayco, is excited to serve as the design-build contractor on a new 176,000 SF health sciences building for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

This three-story, state-of-the-art facility will accommodate the School of Pharmacy and the School of Nursing on SIUE’s core campus. The project will offer space for offices, academic classrooms, synthetic chemistry, nursing wet lab, pharmacogenomics, biochemistry, vivarium, and microbiology.

Construction began March 2024, and in October 2024, Poettker Construction and Clayco completed the significant milestone of the “final pour,” marking the last structural concrete pour of the $105 million building. The Illinois Capital Development Board will oversee the project per the protocol for state-appropriated construction projects.
