In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, Poettker Construction was selected to lead a comprehensive Design-Build renovation at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. The project focused on restoring four historic H-Style Buildings severely impacted by over $3.6 billion in storm-related damages. Key features included:

  • Full restoration of four historic H-Style Buildings

  • Interior upgrades including new office areas, break rooms, conference rooms, and secure storage

  • Temporary satellite office complex created to house displaced employees during construction

  • Structural enhancements to meet 150 MPH wind load per NC coastal Uniform Building Code

  • Exterior load-bearing studs added to comply with updated hurricane resilience standards
